White Int. in Toronto, Canada, since 2001, providing services as an on-set remote head technician as well as in-house equipment maintenance, customer support and consultant.  Besides a 10+ year expertise operating remote heads, Michael has specialized in sophisticated camera support systems; aerial mounts, motion-repeatable systems and articulating cranes making him a point person for grips, production managers and DP’s to turn to when looking for the right specialized equipment for a shoot.  Michael understands the complexities of small to large scale productions, budget considerations and the experience to make your shoot a success.


Michael has a strong technical knowledge of ground and aerial based gyro-stabilized systems.  His experience from many hours in the air as an aerial technician made for a natural transition to aerial operator and cinematographer.  Michael’s work includes commercials, documentaries, feature films, 3D and large format (IMAX) productions.  Michael has operated most of the aerial units in the market today, including the full Nettmann and Tyler family of aerial systems, Cineflex and Wescam.  A couple of select credits include, ‘Canada Over the Edge’, a 13 episode, 50 minute aerial journey across Canada that has wrapped it's fourth season with a final Canada 360 round-up episode. Season 5, now, America Over The Edge will air in 2016. Filmed for Arte, a 90 minute, 3D, 5500km aerial documentary, ‘La France entre ciel et mer,’  focused on the changing landscape and diversity of France’s shorelines from Dunkirk, across the south of France, ending on the beautiful island of Corsica.  Highly regarded and recognized is Michael’s work on several of the Newfoundland Tourism commercials.  These commercials were shot on both film with the Stab C and with the Cineflex V14.  Michael also has experience with live production, operating a cable cam based camera on the Cross Country event at the Vancouver Olympics.  Please contact Michael for a complete and up-to-date credit list.
